3. Advice, Audits & Review

Olympic Park, London 2012

We provide continuous advice on a retainer basis to a wide range of organisations. These include Olympic and Paralympic Organising Committes, Universities, local authorities, voluntary groups, cultural venues, and sports providers.

Working with London 2012 high quality accessibility was successfully delivered to 23 venues across London and the UK, supported by services such as commentary for visually impaired people, golf buggy services, assistance dog facilities and well trained volunteers.

Alpine downhill skiing test event, Sochi

We worked closely with local disabled people in Russia in advance of the Sochi 2014 Winter Paralympic Games to ensure high quality accessibility was provided in the challenging alpine environment of the Caucasus Mountains. This included cable car transport services for athletes, viewing positions for disabled spectators and services to media.

Our written reviews provided high quality advice,  explained in straightforward language what was required to ensure improved access and legal compliance. We avoid jargon and give clear direction and a prioritised list of recommendations.

Our work offers clients innovative ideas to help them transform access provision even in the most difficult of circumstances.  The kinds of issues covered may well include:

Physical Accessibility
Communications Equipment
Colour Contrasts
Employment & Volunteers
Signage and wayfinding
Accessible Toilets
Marketing
Staff Facilities
Staff Training
Terminology
Fire Escape & Evacuation
Publicity
